Community Involvement: What we’ve been doing
Flagstaff Native Plant & Seed is an active member on the Flagstaff Xeriscape Council. Members include local nurseries, The Arboretum at Flagstaff, the City of Flagstaff, Coconino County, Coconino Community College, and the Coconino County Agriculture Extension.
We are a major donor and leading member in the Pine Forest Charter School Capital Campaign. The campaign goal is to build a LEAD Certified “Green” campus for the school that is a community enhancement.
NPS is a regular monetary contributor to Grand Canyon Trust, Grand Canyon Wildlands Council, The Arboretum at Flagstaff, Friends of Flagstaff Future, and the Arizona Native Plant Society.
NPS has donated expertise to many community projects and concerns such as Willow Bend, the Museum of Northern Arizona, several community gardens, Mulligan House, the Arboretum at Flagstaff, Kachina wetlands, and area churches.
